A Digital Innovative Fair was organized by the District Administration Office at Magura at the Deputy Commissioner office premise during January 25-27, 2016.
The main objective of the event was to promote “Access to Information (A2i)” of Prime Minister Office which described through the slogan of the fair: “Jonogoner Dorgorai Sheba” (Service at the doorstep of people).
Different types of displays and digital service stalls were established at the fair to promote different e-services, health services, agriculture services including soil testing procedures, livestock services, and fisheries services.
The fair also displayed other important issues like online passport service, BIKASH service, driving license registration and re-registration services, tender dropping, etc.
The USAID Agricultural Extension Support Activity (Ag Extension Project) also participated at the fair where an ICT Champion and the Sub Assistant Agricultural Officer (SAAO) showed the ICT activity of the project namely the farmer quarry system (FQS) at the project stall. They gave live demonstration of diseases for sample crops like rice, bean, bottle gourd, lentil, etc. They also provided recommendations on seed variety, crop diagnostic and fish diagnostic issues.
Mr. Md. Mahbubor Rahman District Commissioner (DC), Magura and Mr. Partha Pratim Saha, DD, DAE, Magura along with other local government high officials were present at the fair. The field level staff of the Ag Extension Project including Md. Liakat Alii, District Manager, Magura were also present at the fair where the project staff shared their learning from the field with the visitors.
The fair created mass interest among the local people of that area.
